JACKSON, Tenn.– Another special day of worship in parts of Jackson as area churches gathered for another Sunday hosting Praise in the Park.
Sunday’s gathering was hosted at Liberty Gardens located in North Jackson. This the second of four Sunday’s the event is being held..
Praise in the Park is designed to bring communities closer through worship. “People are coming together that wouldn’t normally meet, you know we pass each other in the grocery store, and we pass each other in the mall, but we are actually coming together and saying we all serve the same God. So our differences, the color of our skin and the denominations of the church that we go to, it doesn’t even matter,” Monique Merriweather, Director of Jackson Parks Services said. More than 500 people and three denominations participated this Sunday. Next week’s Praise in the Park will be held at Forest Hills Park from 4 P.M to 6 P.M.
