Slain Memphis officer was Lane College graduate

JACKSON, Tenn. — Leaders at Lane College shared Monday that the Memphis police officer shot and killed Sunday was a Lane graduate. Officer Terrence Olridge, 31, was a 2009 alumnus of Lane College, according to the school. Olridge was shot and killed after an encounter with his neighbor in Memphis. He leaves behind his wife, who is expecting their child. School leaders at Lane ask for prayers for Olridge’s family.
