HUMBOLDT, Tenn. — Students got a unique chance Friday to learn about monsters at the local library. After School-ology’s second installment at the Humboldt Public Library gave kids a chance to learn about unconfirmed creatures out there such as unicorns, Yeti and the Loch Ness Monster. Organizers say they hope classes like this show kids that learning new things doesn’t have to be boring. “Learning is fun and you don’t have to stick to normal things that are in your everyday text book at school,” said Sarah Peden with the Humboldt Children’s Library. After School-ology meets at the Humboldt library on the third Friday at 3:30 p.m. and is a free event for kids in the first through sixth grades. Next month’s topic is Dinosaur-ology.
