Fatal house fire in Bolivar is under investigation

HARDEMAN COUNTY, Tenn.– A woman lost her life Friday night after a fire in Bolivar. The fire department responded to the home around 10 p.m. off of Mamaddie Way. Officials said 54-year-old Teresa Gail Birdsong didn’t make it out of the home. Neighbors said she lived there with her brother and mother, but the two were not home at the time of the fire. The state fire marshal’s office is conducting an investigation. Officials said they haven’t determined what caused the fire.
