JACKSON, Tenn. — Many people came out to the Jackson Fairgrounds for the 7th annual Tennessee Cigar and Brew Fest. This event gave many people the opportunity to come out and enjoy a wide variety of cigars and beer. Festival Creator Dave Hacker said the event came from a personal love of beer and cigars. “The whole idea of this event was conceived at the radio station by the coffee pot. Buzz Blackburm thought we should have an event with cigars, and I said we should have an event about draft beer, and so from that, this event was born seven years ago.” There were many activities for non-drinkers and non-smokers as well. The event featured live bands, multiple activities including a mechanical bull. Jackson resident, Caleb Shearon says it was a great outing for the community. “I really like it, I think it’s a good chance for the home brews to come out and we show support as a community, and for home brewers association. I really like all the vendors coming out and everything. Its a really nice event.” Tennessee Cigar and Brew fest officials say this is the largest turnout they’ve had since the festival’s inception.
