JACKSON, Tenn. — Another way of saying thanks to local law enforcement came with a free meal for first responders. Helped out by local businesses also interested in the cause, Exit 87 BBQ, located near the Ballpark at Jackson, hosted a lunch for local law enforcement Tuesday at the civic center. They say the gift was just a small way of giving thanks for those who make the decision to serve every day. “They put their lives on the line for us every day, and for us to be able to give back to them is a blessing,” said Josh Wadley of Exit 87 BBQ. More than 400 chickens and 800 pounds of pork were used for Tuesday’s lunch.
