Driver charged in Chester Co. crash that killed passenger

CHESTER COUNTY, Tenn. — The driver in a May crash that killed his passenger is now facing charges in the woman’s death. Shane Bishop of Saltillo is charged with vehicular homicide, DUI and failure to exercise due care in the May 28 single-vehicle wreck just north of Henderson, according to court documents. The only passenger in the vehicle, Wyndy Amber Hubbard, 36, also of Saltillo, was killed. Bishop was driving an Isuzu Trooper south on Old Jackson Road just after 3 a.m. when he failed to negotiate a curve, left the right side of the roadway and struck a tree, according to a Tennessee Highway Patrol report.
