More than 30 indicted in Northeast Texas-based drug ring

TEXARKANA, Texas (AP) – Authorities say more than 30 suspects have been indicted in a Northeast Texas-based drug ring with ties to Arkansas, Louisiana and Tennessee.

Federal prosecutors in Texarkana say the 43-count sealed indictment was returned in September with some arrests on Tuesday. The investigation led to charges involve trafficking and distribution of methamphetamine.

Prosecutors say 19 suspects are from Texas – Texarkana, Hooks, Dallas, Wake Village, Nash and Tyler. The other dozen suspects are from Arkansas – Hot Springs, Texarkana, Royal and Gould.

Federal authorities say the two-year investigation has led to additional arrests in the Dallas area, including 16 more defendants.
