JACKSON, Tenn. — The annual Jackson-Madison County Trunk-or-Treat event is just one day away. Friday, this free spook-tacular event begins at 5 p.m. at its new location the Ballpark at Jackson. Costumes are encouraged, and there are more than a million pieces of candy to be given away from up to 70 participating trunks and three helicopters that will be landing. In another first this year, the Jackson-Madison County School System is presenting “It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown.” “After the event ends around 7:30, 8 o’clock, we’ll then get everybody into the stadium,” organizer Jeff Wall said. “We want everyone to bring their blankets, their friends, their family. Enjoy some hot chocolate, coffee and snacks. Just sit around with their family and watch ‘It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown.'” Organizers encourage families to bring extra blankets and are hoping to fill the stadium.
