JACKSON, Tenn. — A little Halloween fun results in many residents lining up to help others in need of blood. Nurses, staff and donors took part Thursday in the 24th annual Vein Drain at the West Tennessee Regional Blood Center. Staff dressed in their finest Halloween garb as they interacted with donors who were helping to keep the area’s blood supply at adequate levels. “This is just also a good way to maximize, capitalize on the vampire effect,” said Cherie Parker with Lifelike Blood Services. “Working in a blood center, we are truly, you know, out for blood. So we want to make that fun for everybody.” Donors and workers say they all look forward to the annual event.
