Salvation Army seeks bell ringers for upcoming season

JACKSON, Tenn. — Bells will be ringing soon near West Tennessee store fronts. The Salvation Army says they’re looking for bell ringers. Many of these are paid positions. The organization said Monday they’re asking for anyone interested to stop by their building on Allen Avenue in Jackson from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Those interested are asked to dress professionally and to bring a photo ID and Social Security card. “Sometimes people just love the holiday spirit and they want to be out there ringing that bell, but for a lot of our applicants, this is extra income to help them through Christmas and maybe not even through Christmas but this may even be their utility bill,” said Maj. Jayne May with the Salvation Army. The Salvation Army says they also are looking for families interested in their Angel Tree program. We’ve put the link to that information in the Seen on 7 section of our website.
