Martin woman facing child abuse charge
WEAKLEY COUNTY, Tenn. — A 6-year-old child is recovering from injuries that investigators say were caused by a Martin woman. Martin police, DCS and the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation worked together to bring charges against 55-year-old Juanita Brewer. Investigators say the child suffered severe injuries while in Brewer’s care in late October. Brewer is facing charges of child abuse and neglect. She is being held at the county jail until a Monday court date.
