Humboldt honors wounded warriors

HUMBOLDT, Tenn. — A West Tennessee city honors local veterans wounded in service to our country. The city of Humboldt has added a new parking spot in front of city hall designated for those who have served our county. The handicap spot holds a new sign that has the purple heart displayed as well as all branches of the military. “They’ll have to have the handicap sticker and just like anybody else on the other ones here, but they’ll know if they belong here,” Mayor Marvin Sikes said. Sikes said he would like to see more businesses follow the city’s lead and see more of these wounded veteran parking spots pop up around West Tennessee.
