Jackson police say theft ring stopped with single arrest
JACKSON, Tenn. — Jackson police said with one arrest they stopped a theft ring targeting businesses in Jackson and surrounding cities. Officers say when they went to serve outstanding warrants to Christy Ann Smith, they found more than $1,000 in items with tags on them from Macy’s and Dick’s Sporting Goods. She faces theft charges and a count of criminal trespassing at Macy’s.
