Man hit by SUV while working outside gas station
JACKSON, Tenn. — Police say an SUV ran over a man Wednesday afternoon as he worked on gas lines outside a convenience store. The man was transported with serious but not life-threatening injuries to a local hospital after being hit outside the Citgo on North Highland Avenue, according to the Jackson Police Department. Officers say they are treating the incident as an accident and that no charges have been filed. Investigators say they do not believe distracted driving caused the accident.
