Jackson police investigate weekend shooting that injured 2

JACKSON, Tenn. — Police are investigating a weekend shooting that left two people injured. Officers responded around 1:45 a.m. Sunday to the GoldLine convenience store in the 1800 block of the Highway 45 Bypass where they had been told there was a gunshot victim, according to a release from the department. Police located the victim who then was taken to a local emergency room with what appeared to be non-life threatening injuries, according to the release. Officers then found there was a second gunshot victim with what appeared to be serious injuries across the bypass in the parking lot of the Burger King on Old Hickory Boulevard, according to police. Police say they have no suspect information to provide at this time.
