Murfreesboro police sergeant arrested on child porn charges

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (AP) — A Murfreesboro police sergeant has been arrested in connection to an ongoing child pornography investigation.

The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation tells media outlets that Kevin Wayne Dunn was arrested Monday in connection to distributing images consistent with child pornography. He has been charged with five counts of aggravated sexual exploitation of a minor.

Murfreesboro Police spokesman Sgt. Kyle Evans says the department has decommissioned Dunn and placed him on paid administrative leave until further notice. Dunn has been employed by the department since 1998.
