Haywood HS student charged with forcible rape of girl at school

HAYWOOD COUNTY, Tenn. — A Haywood High School student has been charged with raping another student by force at the school while another student helped restrain the victim. Terman Jeter, 18, of Brownsville is charged with aggravated rape and aggravated kidnapping in the incident that allegedly occurred Nov. 20 at Haywood High School in Brownsville, according to court documents. Jeter is accused of grabbing a 16-year-old female student by the collar of her jacket, dragging her into an empty classroom and then raping her, according to an affidavit. A juvenile co-defendant is accused of helping Jeter force the victim down the hallway and into the classroom and then helping restrain her. Jeter is being held in lieu of a $500,000 bond. His next court appearance is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. Dec. 15 in Haywood County General Sessions Court.
