Police investigate deadly armed robbery at west Jackson gas station

JACKSON, Tenn, — A gas station clerk is dead after police said they were shot in an armed robbery Wednesday night. “I knew them. I see them everyday and I just didn’t realize it was going to be something as serious as this,” Sandro Jadon said. Jadon owns the nesseciti store next to the Bull Market.
Investigators said they got the call around 10:55 p.m. about a robbery in progress at the Bull Market in the 900-block of Hollywood Drive. Several residents told WBBJ 7 Eyewitness News the gas station is family owned. “They’re very, very, very nice people,” Jadon said. “I stop there almost every night…and joke around with the guy.” Police say the suspect in the homicide was witnessed running east from the store. Officers were able to confine him to a wooded area and ball field near of Arlington Avenue. Officers said a K-9 unit was quickly dispatched and was able to track the suspect. Jackson Police said the name of the suspect is not being released because he has not yet been formally charged. JPD said the identity of the victim is not being released, pending notification to next of kin. City leaders sent condolences to the family having to face the tragedy around the holiday. “I’m sorry for your loss and our heart is with you.
