GIBSON COUNTY, Tenn. — Deputies arrested two women and seized $7,400 in cash during what they are calling an ongoing meth investigation. Goldie Hairrell, 39, of Cedar Grove and Lauren Luther, 30, of Springville, both are charged with possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia, according to a release from the Gibson County Sheriff’s Office. Deputies were assisting agents of the West Tennessee Violent Crime and Drug Task Force on June 24 when they came into contact with two women sitting in a car in Trenton. A K-9 sniff outside the vehicle resulted in a positive response, and a search of the car led deputies to a substance believed to be methamphetamine, paraphernalia used to smoke meth, and $7,416 in cash, the release states. Hairrell is free on a $20,000 bond and Luther is currently being held at the Gibson County Correctional Complex in lieu of a $20,000 bond.
