JACKSON, Tenn. — The victim of a recent ATM robbery shared her side of the story Wednesday. Zellier Price said she was robbed Sunday at the Regions Bank ATM that sits on the corner of North Church Street and East Lafayette Street in Jackson. Price said she saw a man on the sidewalk as she drove towards the ATM and while she tried to keep an eye on him, she still had to pay attention to the transaction. Once the transaction was complete, she then noticed a shirtless man reaching into her car, claiming that he was going to rob her. “When I finished my last transaction, this person was standing on the side of my car, saying he was fixing to rob me,” Price said. She claimed the man who reached into her car had a shirt wrapped around his face, and had something in his hand wrapped in cloth, something Price believes was a gun. As the man reached into the vehicle to grab Price’s money, she said her first instinct was to bite him. That’s when the assailant dropped some of her cash, before running away with about $80. Price said she has a message for the man who tried to steal her hard earned cash. “If you had just asked me for something, I would have given you some. You didn’t have to take it,” she said. If you have information about the robbery call the Jackson Police Department.
