Churches help feed thousands for Thanksgiving
OBION COUNTY, Tenn.-In Obion County, churches are coming together to feed thousands this holiday. The Obion County Ministerial Association is feeding around 6,500 people by providing 1,500 boxes of food. Monday, volunteers from all over the county worked packing the boxes, cooking and organizing. “This is a community effort and one of the greatest things for me to get to witness is all the different churches all the different denominations coming together and bring together,” said Dan Huggins, of the Exchange St. Church of Christ. The church will pass out the food boxes from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., Tuesday. Volunteers will also host a sit-down Thanksgiving meal starting at 4 p.m. It is open to the public.
