Lady Bulldogs ranked No. 13
Union University women’s basketball team begins this season at No. 13 in the Women’s Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) Preseason Poll. In their first season as active members of NCAA Division II, Union finished the 2014-15 season at 28-4 and reached the DII Sweet Sixteen. Union’s lone returning starter from last season is senior Kelsey Risner. The team lost NCAA DII National Player of the Year finalist, Amy Philamlee. Union tips off their season at LSU at 7 p.m. on Monday for an exhibition game.
