Officers raise money to fight cancer with ‘No Shave November’ event

JACKSON, Tenn. — A “No Shave November” fundraiser has turned beards into cash, all for a good cause. The Jackson Police Department and Madison County Sheriff’s Department dropped their clean shaven policy during November to allow employees to participate in the Relay for Life fundraiser. Those who donated did not have to shave. Employees raised more than $4,700 for the American Cancer Society, easily surpassing their goal of $3,500.
