Officials say woman found dead after house fire
MEMPHIS, Tenn. (AP) – Officials say a woman was found dead following a house fire in Memphis.
The Commercial Appeal reports (http://bit.ly/1QoUCBr) the fire began just before 9 a.m. on Sunday at a home in the Whitehaven area.
Officials say upon entering the home, firefighters found the body of the elderly woman in a bedroom. Authorities have not released her identity. No one else was injured.
Fire officials believe candles in the bedroom may have started the blaze.
