Travel expert urges caution in booking trips aborad

JACKSON, Tenn.-Even as the State Department issues a world-wide travel alert for Americans, local travel experts say it should not keep you from seeing new places. Ronda Richards with Ronda’s Travel Corner in Jackson said even though recent terrorist attacks have sparked concern, West Tennesseans are still booking trips around the world. She said constant caution is something they always encourage. “We just need to be cautious when we are traveling as anytime. They usually put out a travel alert about once a year for different places. We just have to be careful,” said Richards. Triple A estimates almost 47 million Americans will travel this Thanksgiving holiday.
