Runners help Santa with ‘Stuff the Sleigh 5K Run’
MILAN, Tenn.-A group of West Tennessee children will have a Christmas to remember this year thanks to the Milan Fire Department and a whole lot of runners.
The department held its fourth annual ‘Stuff the Sleigh 5-K’, which raises money for its yearly toy drive. More than $2,000 was raised at Thursday night’s race.
All proceeds will fund the Milan Firefighters Foundation, supporting the toy drive and other local charities.
“It’s a way we can interact with our community a little better, it’s a way that we can be involved and kind of put ourselves out there,” said Daniel Butler,
More than 80 runners participated in the event.
