UTM officials suspect reporting issue as cause of probation
MARTIN, Tenn. — Leaders at UT Martin have shed a little more light on why the university has been placed on probation by the Southeast Association of Colleges and Schools, which controls accreditation in this region.
Though UTM officials say it could be weeks before it receives official notification, they believe their 12-month probation was prompted by a reporting issue rather than student or faculty performance.
