Humboldt police seek leads in two weekend shootings
HUMBOLDT, Tenn. — Officers are asking for input from the public in their investigation of two early Sunday morning shootings, one of which left a man injured.
Police responded around 1:20 a.m. to reported gunfire along Front Street where they found a man with a non life-threatening gunshot wound to the leg, according to a release from the department.
There also reportedly were several cars struck by gunfire.
While officers were still on scene on Front Street, officers also responded to reported gunshots near the intersection of Westside Drive and Calhoun Street, according to the release.
There they found evidence of gunshots being fired along with an unoccupied vehicle still running with the driver’s side door open.
Police are urging anyone with information on either incident to call the Humboldt Police Department tip line at 731-784-6225. The line is anonymous and does not have caller ID, according to police.
