Person of interest in Madison Co. stabbing surrenders to authorities
MADISON COUNTY, Tenn. — A man sought in connection with a Tuesday night stabbing has surrendered to authorities, according to the sheriff’s office.
David Nelson, a person of interest in the disturbance at a home in the 1300 block of Westover Road, surrendered Wednesday after his status as a person of interest was broadcast by local media, according to a release from Tom Mapes, public information officer for the sheriff’s office.
Two people including a 16-year-old were stabbed in the disturbance. The teen was hospitalized in ICU and now is in stable condition, according to a the release.
The other injured person has been released from the hospital.
