Current temps are rising and are in the mid 60s. It feels more like spring time around the area!
This afternoon temps are expecting to warm into the upper 60s and low 70s with mainly clear skies. We will remain mainly rain-free throughout the afternoon.
A cold front off to our west is pushing east toward West Tennessee and this will increase the clouds as we go into the evening hours. Overnight tonight there is about a 60% chance to see a shower or thunderstorm. Temps remain mild and in the mid 50s.
The chances for rain remain throughout the day on friday with scattered rain likely during the afternoon. We are also under a Marginal Risk for Severe Weather on Friday. This is a 1 on our 5 point scale. We could see an isolated severe storm with gusty winds. Definitely something to keep an eye on if you will be out and about traveling Christmas Day.
Friday is not the last of the rain either… More showers and thunderstorms are likely Saturday morning. Scattered storms remain in the forecast for much of the next 7-days.
