S.F. Forked Deer River near flood stage

JACKSON, Tenn.- Area rivers are still dealing with the effects of heavy rains that pushed through the area over the weekend.

Those rains have  affected water levels on the South Fork of the Forked Deer River at Jackson and are rising to near flood stage levels.

Residents and local business owners near Westover are keeping a close watch on the river.
As of late Tuesday evening, the Forked Deer was at 34.1 feet. Flood stage is 34 feet.
