First steps taken to repair home damaged by tree
MILAN, Tenn.- A West Tennessee family has a new beginning to look forward to as they head into 2016.
You may remember last week, WBBJ 7 Eyewitness news told you about a home in Milan that was heavily damaged after a tree fell on a portion of it. Thursday, the first steps towards recovery began as a large crane was brought in by an anonymous
donor to remove the tree and repair the damage..all for free.
“Ah, man, they have been working with the crane and the chainsaws. Hey, they got what they need to get the job done,” said neighbor James Smith.
Community members are also pitching in this weekend. They will begin removing items from the house to be stored so the repair and remodeling of the house can begin.
