Woman embezzles $1K from K-Mart
JACKSON, Tenn. — A woman appeared before a judge Saturday morning for embezzling more than $1,000 from K-Mart in November.
According to court papers Latavia Nicole Clifton was working a register at K-Mart and allowed customers to place items in shopping bags they didn’t pay for.
On November 22 before Clifton was confronted, papers say the then-employee clocked out for her lunch break and never returned.
Her bond was set at $8,000.
