Car rammed into armory in attempted robbery

HENRY COUNTY, Tenn. — Business is back to normal at Eagle Creek Armory, but last week the business was victim of an attempted robbery. Employees arrived to find a a running car rammed into the side of the building.

Workers originally thought it was an accident, but soon realized it was something more. “An investigation by the sheriff’s office found that a Honda civic with Wisconsin tags up against the front of the building,” said Inv. Gary Vandiver of the Henry County Sheriff’s Department.

According to the Henry County Sheriff’s Department, the car was reported stolen in Nashville the night prior to the incident. Surveillance footage showed three suspects trying to break into the building, but they never made it in.

Right now it’s unclear if the suspects fled on foot or if they were picked up by another vehicle. “We’re looking for suspects. No arrests have been made, at this time, only suspects we have are 3 individuals believed to be two males and one female,” said Vandiver.

Since the crash, damage to the armory has been repaired. However, the Henry County Sheriff’s Department is still working to find the people responsible.
