Haywood Co. deputies seek suspect in Monday morning shooting
HAYWOOD COUNTY, Tenn. — Deputies in Haywood County are looking for the person behind an early Monday morning shooting.
According to Sheriff Melvin Bond, a man was shot after a fight at the Over the Hill Bar and Grill located on Highway 54. The shooting happened around 4 a.m., Monday.
The owner of the bar told deputies the suspect was seeing waiving a gun around after the fight. The victim was shot in the back and is currently hospitalized. The sheriff did not release the victim’s condition.
“At the scene of the club, we retrieved two casings,” said Sheriff Bond. “But that’s all we were able to find there.”
