Overturned pickup slows traffic in north Jackson

NORTH JACKSON — Part of a busy Jackson thoroughfare was temporarily shut down after a Tuesday afternoon wreck involving an overturned pickup truck.

First responders were on scene where a red pickup overturned on North Highland Avenue at the Vann Drive intersection. Police say no serious injuries were reported.

The pickup flipped after exiting Interstate 40 and striking another vehicle that had stopped for the traffic light, according to the Jackson Police Department.

Police say traffic has since returned to normal.
