Jeffrey Whitehead and Emilee James were arrested after deputies recovered the drugs along with five shot guns and a rifle at a house and inside a car. “He was doing this for a revenue source,” Henry county Sheriff Monte Belew said.

Rough estimates for the weed at street value are around $50,000, Belew said.

Officers also found more than $4,200 in cash. Sheriff Belew said the majority of the money was hidden in a freezer.

Deputies said a small child was also in the home at the time of the raid. The child is in the custody of family members, according to Sheriff Belew.

Investigators say they suspect a drug operation and expect more arrests soon.

Deputies said Whitehead is a four-time convicted felon and has a history of drug charges in the past. “He’s no stranger to the game,” Belew said. “He’s just back in it again.”

Whitehead’s Bond was set at $50,000. James was held in lieu of a $1,000 bond. Investigators say she posted bail and left jail Tuesday afternoon.

Both are scheduled to appear in court Jan. 7.
