JACKSON, Tenn. — Lifeline Blood Services says there’s only a one-day supply of some blood types, and they’re hoping you can help them with this critical need.

“West Tennessee hospital patients are relying on us, West Tennesseans, to provide the blood they need, and we can only do that with the help of our volunteers,” said Cherie Parker, public relations coordinator at Lifeline.

The organization says they are in desperate need of blood types O and B.

They are open for extended hours this week.

Lifeline is open from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. until Friday and is hosting blood drives in other West Tennessee counties this week.
