Warm front rain arrives today

Weather Update 6:00 AM Thursday

This morning we have temperatures mainly in the upper 20s to low 30s. It is warmer this morning than this time yesterday and temperatures will continue to warm up as we go into the afternoon. As a warm front makes its way into the region, the chance for rain rises mainly after the noon hour. There still isn’t a lot of moisture in the atmosphere so widespread showers are unlikely. We are expecting light, scattered rain.

Tonight, things remain mild and the thick clouds act as a blanket keeping the low temps in the 40s. The rain chances fall as we go into the morning on Friday.

Friday we are expecting to stay mainly dry and we might even see some afternoon sunshine before the next round of rain arrives on Saturday morning. With the sunshine possible on Friday afternoon, high temperatures are projected to break the 60 degree mark. It will be a nice afternoon so enjoy it while you can!

By Saturday more rain pushes in, mainly in the morning but there may be some lingering showers Saturday afternoon into early Sunday morning. Temperature start dropping as a cold front arrives. By Sunday morning, things will start to clear out but the temperatures plummet. Temps will be dropping as we go through the day and we are expecting to stay in the 30s. Monday afternoon highs also remain in the 30s. It’ll be a cold start to next week.
