Patrick Sean Cary, 22, of McKenzie was indicted Monday on one count of sexual contact with an inmate, according to release from the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation.

The charge stems from a TBI investigation after a report of a jail employee having inappropriate contact with a female inmate.

Agents say they determined Cary had consensual sexual contact with a female inmate during November 2015, at which time he was a correctional officer.

Cary turned himself in at the Carroll County Jail on Thursday and is now free after posting a $5,000 bond.
