2nd man charged in Christmas Eve robbery

JACKSON, Tenn. — A man went before a judge Monday on a charge stemming from a Christmas Eve robbery.

LaMarlow Martin is charged with aggravated robbery after being identified as one of four men involved in a Dec. 24. robbery in a vehicle outside a North Highland Avenue hotel, according to court documents.

A woman told police she got inside another woman’s car along with the four men she didn’t know.

After driving to the Executive Inn parking lot, the men reportedly demanded money and pills and then struggled with the woman as they stole her purse along with $40 cash and a bottle of medication.

The woman told police one of the men in the back seat pistol whipped her several times in the head.

The woman reportedly identified Martin from a photo lineup as one of the men in the vehicle.

Another man, Jamie Johnson, also has been charged in the incident.
