Greenville’s Salvation Army to offer more programs this year
GREENVILLE, Miss. (AP) – Greenville’s Salvation Army will be offering more programs this year.
Lt. Damon Graham, who oversees the city’s corps with his wife, tells the Delta Democrat-Times that the Salvation Army will offer life skills classes during the first half of the year.
Graham says the classes will focus on job readiness and money budgeting. Graham says the effort is to help people become self-sufficient and self-sustaining.
Graham says the classes will also include instruction in resume writing and how to fill out a job application.
The Salvation Army will also offer classes for high school and college students this year. Graham says these classes will be geared toward character building, conflict resolution, self-esteem, reading, social skills and learning how to apply for student financial aid.
