Henry Co. Helping Hand kicks off yearly auction

HENRY COUNTY, Tenn. — A local organization is hosting its annual two-month auction to raise money for their community.

Henry County Helping Hand is an organization that raises money to assist more than 80 local groups such as volunteer fire departments and the Henry County Food Bank.

Helping Hand has hosted the auction for more than 30 years.

“I don’t know of any other group that helps as many people as Helping Hand does,” the organization’s president Susan Hayes said. “I don’t know of anybody in Henry County that is not touched by funds by Helping Hand no matter what.”

The auction will last until the first week of March.

Last year, the auction raised more than $300,000.
