New Lexington fire station is up & running

LEXINGTON, Tenn. — The city of Lexington’s newest fire station is officially open.

Firefighters say they’ve been operating out of it since Monday night. The assistant fire chief says it will serve the west side of the city.

He says they plan to host an open house Saturday for city aldermen, construction crews and firefighters, but they haven’t yet decided on a time.
