Police ID man killed in Bolivar shooting

HARDEMAN COUNTY, Tenn. — Police have identified a man who was killed in a Friday night shooting in Bolivar.

Timothy Smith, 31, died as a result of a shooting at a home in the 700 block of Lafayette Street, according to the Bolivar Police Department.

Jammy Harbin is charged with second-degree murder in the shooting.

Police say Harbin lived at the home along with his wife and son and that Smith was his son’s roommate.

Investigators have not yet said what led to the shooting.

Harbin is being held in lieu of a $100,000 bond.
