TN Dept. of Safety: ’15 traffic fatalities lowest since 1963
NASHVILLE, Tenn.-Good news from the Tennessee Department of safety. Numbers released Wednesday indicate 2015 saw the lowest number of traffic fatalities since 1963.
Initial figures indicate there were 965 deaths on Tennessee roadways last year, which includes 112 pedestrians and 10 cyclists.
Also, there was a 21 percent drop in alcohol related fatalities in 2015 in Tennessee and a three percent drop in traffic deaths involving unrestrained motorists.
