Movie that made debut in Huntingdon gets Oscar nod
HUNTINGDON, Tenn. — One of the movies sure to receive a lot of buzz before Oscar night had one of its premieres right here in West Tennessee.
“Room,” nominated for Best Picture, Best Director and Best Actress for a Lead Role by Brie Larson, debuted in Huntingdon alongside theaters in New York and Los Angeles.
The Carroll County town was selected by Katie Koestner, the author of the book that inspired the movie.
“Room” is still playing in select theaters.
