TWRA creates webpage with info on cougars in Tenn.
NASHVILLE — State wildlife officials have created an online resource to provide information on cougars in the state.
After four recent confirmed cougar sightings in Tennessee, the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency created a “Cougars in Tennessee” page on their website to help inform the public about the species.
Cougars, sometimes called mountain lions, until recently had not been seen in Tennessee since the early 20th century, according to the TWRA.
The page contains general information about the species as well as how to go about reporting a sighting.
