Purvis High School field house far from completion
PURVIS, Miss. (AP) – The wait for a number of Purvis High’s student-athletes to get into their new field house will be a little longer.
The field house, which began construction in the summer, is still months away from completion. Purvis’ previous field house burned down in August 2014. Arson was determined to be the cause.
Purvis athletic director Tony Farlow tells The Hattiesburg American the project is almost finished from the outside, but still has a lot of work left on the inside. A tentative completion date has been set for June or July.
The field house, once completed, is expected to be one of the more luxurious among Class 4A schools. The building will hold the essentials such as weight room and coaches offices.
